The SDG’s and their Indicators – Forum held in Madrid

Renowned experts from academia, administration, international organizations and civil society attended this year’s collaboration in the Caixaforum, engaging in an active debate around the measurability and the monitoring of progress towards Agenda 2030.

The opening session was led by María Cortés Puch, for the Sustainable Development Solutions Network (SDSN), along with María Larrea, Deputy Director General for Development Policy of the Spanish Agency for International Development Cooperation, and José Antonio Alonso, Professor of Applied Economics of the Complutense University of Madrid.

In the following two roundtables, the measurability of progress in terms of poverty and social inequality (SDG 1 and 10), as well as environmental indicators and the sustainability of ecosystems (SGD 15) were discussed, respectively. Overall, more than 150 highly qualified attendees participated very actively in the debates of the sessions. The contents of the Forum have been widely disseminated through social networks.
