SDSN Black Sea Organized the Thessaloniki Sustainability Summit 2022

The 2022 Thessaloniki Sustainability Summit took place on September 14th, 2022, in Thessaloniki, Greece. The summit’s aim was to bring together scientists, researchers, experts from the public and private sector, local authorities, and other stakeholders who discussed sustainable energy, a topic of global interest. The topic of the summit “Sustainable Energy” was aligned with the Agenda 2030 and the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) as well as the European Green Deal.

The Summit consisted of two sessions, one in Greek and one in English. During the second session, prof. Nicolaos Theodossiou, chair of SDSN Black Sea, moderated a presentation and roundtable on the United Nations Council of Engineers on the Energy Transition.


The event was organized by SDSN Black Sea under the auspices of the Faculty of Economics and Political Sciences, and the Faculty of Engineering, at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki.
