Happiness Lab: People, Planet and Spirituality in Harmony

On September 23, 2020 alongside the UNGA, Tsinghua University, Tsinghua Southeast Asia Center, SDSN Southeast Asia, and United in Diversity hosted the "Happiness Lab: People, Planet and Spirituality in Harmony" exclusive plenary as part of the RICH 70 Tsinghua SEA Cloud Forum, commemorating the 70th Anniversary of Indonesia (RI) and China (CH) bilateral relationship.

The event was part of a larger series of virtual sessions all based around the Balinese concept of Tri Hita Karana and the SDG Pyramid. The entire series was organized to reimagine the new business paradigm, with well-being and societal happiness at the core of development and the SDGs. One of the core objectives of the events was redefining richness. Beyond economic terms, what does it mean to be a progressive, bountiful, and wealthy society? How do we open our minds and our hearts to push our development efforts further to achieve the triple bottom line of sustainable development, in society, our economy and our environment? The events brought together stakeholders from around the world, from business, government, and academia to explore this concept in their industries.
