Global Schools Advocate Named Ghana’s Most Outstanding Teacher

The Global Schools Program and the Sustainable Development Solutions Network extend their congratulations to Stella Gyimaah Larbi for winning the title of “Best Teacher of Ghana”. Stella joined the Global Schools Advocates program and participated in the Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) teacher training program in 2021-2022. She now mentors other teachers as a Global Schools Mentor who are going through the training and are implementing innovative sustainable development projects in their respective schools.

Stella says, "Being a Global Schools Advocate and a [Global Schools] mentor helped me to inspire my learners to become global citizens. All my lessons had a bit of the SDGs with a focus on goals 5, 7, 8, 9, and 10. Our innovations and interactions in the global classroom allowed my learners to communicate with other learners from different classrooms across the globe."

At the award ceremony, Stella was congratulated by the Vice President of Ghana, the Minister of Education, the Registrar of the National Teaching Council, and more dignitaries.

Congrats once again to Stella on this amazing achievement!
