The Institute of Southeast Asian Studies is dedicated to the study of social, political and economic trends in the region. Its aims are to nurture a community of scholars interested in the region; to engage in research sociology, anthropology, political science, history and economics; to stimulate research and debate within scholarly circles; to enhance public awareness of the region; and to facilitate publications on Southeast Asian matters.
