The Institute for Poverty Alleviation and International Development has a firm commitment to build strategies to reduce global poverty and to promote sustainable development. We aim to do this through community-based and inter-disciplinary research on poverty at a regional and global level, combining a wide range of expertise, including governance, social sciences, health and medical care, agricultural science, environmental protection, statistics, and scientific technologies. We hold seminars and symposiums to disseminate our knowledge, publish book series about poverty, and engage with national organizations and Official Development Assistance (ODA) projects to improve conditions in developed countries.
