The Amazon Solutions Platform, a new initiative of the SDSN Amazonia, was recently launched in Berlin on Monday, May 29th, 2017, at the Impact Hub Berlin. The launch was live streamed via Twitter and Facebook, and is archived for on-demand viewing. The platform aims to to geo-reference the best practices of public, private, and civil society stakeholders and promote scientific, technical, and academic understanding of sustainable development. The platform can also be used to analyze existing capacities, strengths, and challenges, with an eye to filling gaps in the implementation of the SDGs in the Amazon region.
Stakeholders in the region are invited to join the platform and begin posting their initiatives. Initiatives can be sorted and viewed geographically or by SDG priority area. Further, the site is designed to facilitate content in Spanish, Portuguese, and English. More information is available on the SDSN Amazonia website (in Portuguese).
