The Sustainable Development Solutions Network (SDSN) and the Institute for Sustainable Development and International Relations (IDDRI) jointly hosted a consortium meeting of the Deep Decarbonization Pathways Project (DDPP) on May 28-29, 2015 in Paris, France. The workshop brought together participants from each of the 16 country teams that are currently represented in the DDPP, namely: Australia, Brazil, Canada, China, France, Germany, India, Indonesia, Italy, Japan, Mexico, Russia, South Africa, South Korea, the UK, and the USA. Representatives from other partner organizations of the DDPP, such as the International Energy Agency (IEA), also participated in the event.

The objective of the meeting was for the teams to develop a shared ownership of the cross-cutting results which can be derived from national analyses and will represent the core content for the 2015 Global Synthesis Report, to be published in October 2015. Teams discussed the story line and key messages and validated the structure and contents of the report, as well as the collaborative process required to draft it. The group also discussed and agreed on a communication strategy around the 2015 deliverables, and notably the country reports (to be published before the summer), and engaged in a strategic discussion on a post-2015 strategy for the DDPP consortium.
