The Brazil SDSN was launched on March 17, 2014, at the Museum of Art of Rio de Janeiro. Speakers included local leaders, city government officials, and university presidents. SDSN Director Jeffrey Sachs spoke on “The Age of Sustainable Development: A Global Overview and its Relevance for the Brazil SDSN.” The Brazil SDSN will initially be co-hosted by 4 organizations: Federal University of Rio de JaneiroFederal Rural University of Rio de JaneiroInstituto Pereira Passos of the City of Rio de Janeiro, and Conservation International Brazil.
