On June 24, Jeff Sachs presented the SDSN report “An Action Agenda for Sustainable Development” during his remarks at the launch of the World Center for Sustainable Development (Centro Rio+) in Rio de Janeiro. The Center, a joint partnership between the Brazilian government and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), aims to facilitate research and knowledge exchange and to promote international debate on sustainable development. Other speakers at the launch included Izabella Teixeira, Brazil’s Environment Minister, and Rebecca Grynspan, Under-Secretary-General and Associate Administrator of UNDP.
