Sustainable Development Solutions Network

Mobilizing scientific and technical expertise for local, national, and global problem solving

The UN Sustainable Development Solutions Network (SDSN) is building a global network to accelerate practical problem solving for sustainable development at the local, national, regional, and global level. The global Solutions Network will comprise universities, research centers, civil society organizations, companies, and other institutions that have deep expertise in key dimensions of sustainable development.

The global Solutions Network will consist of regional networks each comprising SDSN Centers and Regional SDSN Centers. At least one university or independent research center will take on the role of a Regional SDSN Center to host and help coordinate the activities within each region. This may include promoting solutions initiatives in the region and organizing conferences to bring together the regional members of the network. In some cases, two or more Regional SDSN Centers may co-host and coordinate a Regional Solutions Network.
