Sabina Ratti holds a PhD in Molecular Biology, is married, and has a son and two grandchildren.

Following her graduation at the Scuola Enrico Mattei (MBA focused on the energy sector), in 1987 she enters Agip, where she deals with environmental impact studies of O&G exploration and production activities. She coordinates the “Environmental Accounting” company working group, whose output was the first Agip environmental report.

From 1995 to 1998 she is responsible for the Technical Staff at the Agip South Italy Operational District, working on HSE, Quality and Relations with Public Administrations. Back to Eni headquarters in Milan, she works as Exploration and Production Division liaison officer for Health, Safety and Environment activities worldwide.

From 2001 to 2006 she is responsible for the CSR and Sustainable Management Research Program at the Fondazione Eni Enrico Mattei (FEEM). In 2006 she is Project Manager for the Eni Sustainability Project and  coordinates a team of FEEM researchers and Eni professionals coming from different functional areas and business units.

In 2006 she is appointed Head of the Sustainability Unit of Eni.

She is part of the Steering Committee of UN Global Compact LEAD and Co-Chair of the LEAD Project Group on the Post2015 Agenda, Vice President of the Global Compact Italian Network Foundation and deputy member of the Leadership Council of UN Sustainable Development Solutions Network.
