Niclas (born in 1970) has in the last decade been the CEO of the Novamedia/Swedish Postcode Lottery (turnover approx 500 MUSD). Together with the Postcode Lotteries in the UK and the Netherlands, it forms the United Postcode Lotteries, being the third largest private donor in the world donating over 8,5 billion USD over the years to the charity sector. The Swedish Postcode Lottery has under Mr. Kjellström-Matseke ten years as CEO not only showed a tremendous growth in turnover, but also in support to charity organizations such as the Clinton Foundation, Red Cross, Nelson Mandela Foundation, UNHCR, WWF among others.
Mr. Kjellström-Matseke has in 2016 relocated from Stockholm to Cape Town. He is the Chairman and owner of a numerous of newly started ventures in both Europe and Africa. I.E. Perennis Africa (Chairman), investing in Southern African growth companies. STAPP Africa (Founder), a Swedish initiated business collecting/recycling heavy metals in nature, at shooting ranges improving the environment and health situation.
Mr. Kjellström-Matseke has in addition held senior management positions in various companies and he has been the CEO of Spero, another Swedish lottery company. He also has a background as a Management Consultant at Accenture. Mr. Kjellström-Matseke is a board member of the Kennedy family’s RFK Human Rights, Boardmember of the SDG Center/Africa. A former member of the Elders’ Advisory Board, and a honorary advisory board member of the Aung Sang Suu Kyi ́s World Freedom Fund.
Mr. Kjellström-Matseke is a thought for speaker expressing the importance of entrepreneurship, sustainability and human rights. Although born in Sweden, Mr. Kjellström-Matseke also has roots in South Africa, where his grandfather was Founding Member of the political organization ANC.
Mr. Kjellström-Matseke holds an MBA from the Stockholm School of Economics and Babson College in the US. He also holds a degree in Economics and Social Science from Uppsala University. Sweden.
