Marine Formentini works in the SDSN Secretariat based in Paris as a Manager for the FABLE (Food, Agriculture, Biodiversity, Land-use, and (bio-)Energy) Consortium. She is working on building and managing a global network of research institutions and on coordinating input to develop consistent global and national pathways towards sustainable land use and food systems by 2050.

Prior to joining SDSN, Marine worked at the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) where she managed networks working on public communication for nuclear safety and on stakeholder involvement in radioactive waste management. Previously, she has also worked in the fields of diplomacy at the European External Action Service, humanitarian aid at the Agency for Technical Cooperation and Development, security and defense at the Institut des hautes études de défense nationale, and in journalism at the Financial Times.

Marine holds an MSc in International Public Policy from University College London and a BA in European Studies from King’s College London. A Franco-Italian national, Marine speaks French, Italian, English, and Spanish.
