Maren Bernloehr, seconded from GIZ – the German Agency for International Cooperation, is working as manager within the SDSN office in Paris.
She started to work for GIZ during the German G7 Presidency focusing on G7/G20 policies towards a Post-2015 Agenda for Sustainable Development. Afterwards, she served as manager in a governmental project on innovations in global health and as liaison officer. In this position she coordinated relations between GIZ and the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWi) as well as the Federal Ministry of Health (BMG). Prior to joining GIZ, she had been working for the Federal Foreign Office.
Maren holds an M.A. in International Political Economy from TU Dresden and a B.A. in Governance and Public Policy from University Passau / IEP Toulouse.
