Ms. Leslie A. O’Donoghue is the Executive Vice President of Corporate Development & Strategy, and the Chief Risk Officer of Agrium. She is responsible for four core areas including: EHS&S, Sustainability & Stakeholder Relations, Internal Audit, Risk Management and Corporate Development and Strategy. In her previous role of Executive Vice President, Operations, she managed all of Agrium’s operations across North America as well as Agrium’s expanding international operations in Europe, Egypt, South America, Asia, and Australia. Prior to that, she held the position of Chief Legal Officer and Senior Vice President, Business Development, responsible for Agrium’s corporate governance, legal affairs, corporate strategy and business development.
Leslie established the Agrium Women’s Leadership Group (AWLG), an organization created to provide mentoring, networking and developmental opportunities for women within Agrium. She is a member of the Pembina Pipeline Corporation Board of Directors and is a member of the Queen’s Law Dean’s Council at Queen’s University.
Leslie is co-chair of 2012 Calgary United Way Campaign. She was also named Top Deal Maker of the Year at the 2009 Canadian General Counsel Awards and in both 2009 and 2011, the Women’s Executive Network (WXN) listed Leslie as one of Canada’s Most Powerful Women: Top 100.
Prior to joining Agrium in 1999, Leslie was a partner in the national law firm of Blake, Cassels & Graydon LLP.
