Dr. Gordon G. Liu is a Professor of Economics and the Director of the China Center for Health Economic Research (CCHER) at Peking University. Dr. Liu is a leading expert on health and development economics, health policy reform, and pharmaceutical economics in China. He is a key figure in Chinese health care reform efforts and sits on the China State Council Health Reform Advisory Commission. He is president of the Chinese Society for Pharmacoeconomics and Outcomes Research and has served as president of the Chinese Economists Society. Dr. Liu was a founding chair of the Asian Consortium for the International Society for Pharmacoeconomics and Outcomes Research (ISPOR). He has served as a coeditor of Value in Health, the journal of ISPOR, and the editor in chief of the China Journal of Pharmaceutical Economics. Dr. Liu is on the editorial boards of the Global Handbook of Health Economics, Chinese Journal of Health Economics, and the European Health Economic Review. Prior to joining Peking University, Dr. Liu was a tenured associate professor at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and an assistant professor at the University of Southern California.
