Giovanni Bruna is a Program Associate for the SDSN, tasked with developing and managing National and Regional SDSNs with a focus on Latin America.

Prior to joining the SDSN, he worked as an Account Manager on the Latin America & Caribbean team at Guinness World Records. He assisted clients from the private, public, and non-profit sectors utilize the power of record-breaking as an experiential marketing creative solution to celebrate superlative achievements via community engagement, tourism, culture, and corporate social responsibility campaigns. Previously, he worked in Corporate Relations and Sponsorship at the Council of the Americas in New York City, an international business organization committed to economic and social development, the rule of law and democracy throughout the Western Hemisphere, as well as at a social media startup called Chisel, that generated and promoted consensus-driven nonpartisan public-policy proposals. He has also worked professionally in Spanish and Italian language instruction.

Giovanni holds a Master’s degree in Global Governance, with a concentration in Globalization and Human Security, and a B.A. in International Relations, both from Florida International University in Miami. He is a member of the Young Professionals in Foreign Policy NY chapter and a Youth Ambassador for Peace and Dialogue among Cultures (The Aladdin Project) for having graduated from The International Summer University for Intercultural Leadership under the patronage of the European Parliament and UNESCO. Giovanni is currently completing online coursework in Cultural Management and Communications at The Latin American Faculty of Social Sciences (FLACSO) Argentina campus.
