Thanks. I would like to learn more about this initiative. As East African SusWatch Network, we have just prepared an alternative report on the progress in implementation of the East African Climate Change Policy commitments in relation to rural energy supply in the Lake Victoria basin: http://www.easuswatch.org/phocadownload/resources/UCSD%20-%20e-mail.pdf
“…Such reflections must not be the exclusive province of experts and statisticians. We have to leave behind the culture of experts who talk only among themselves, each in their own field. We have to learn to think things through together, to discuss together problems which, whatever their technical specifics, are the concern of all…” – speech by M. Nicolas Sarkozy at 40thWEF Davos
“Everyone seemed to be doing their own job properly on its own merit. And according to standard measures of success, they were often doing it well. The failure was to see how collectively this added up to a series of interconnected imbalances over which no single authority had jurisdiction.” – group of British economists explaining the genesis of financial crisis
I would like to ask you kindly to consider the possibilities described in Desert Ice Project – http://www.deserticeproject.com
SDSN Solutions Initiative are very wonderfull.
I think but BURUNDI my country will be among the first countries where ENI can do the experiences for energy access. We are in East African Community but the gapp of energy is so lower when we compare with other countries in our community.
